  • The client’s challenge

Etex is a global industrial company. The product range extends from innovative modular systems to leading fibre and plasterboard systems with applications for cladding, façade, roofing, and terrace, high-performance fire protection and insulation for construction and OEM applications. Etex inspires the world to build safe, sustainable, smart, and beautiful living spaces with a wide spectrum of lightweight solutions. As a global company, Etex promotes inspiring lifestyles in a variety of settings around the world. Etex has 101 global offices, 12,000 employees and operates in more than 40 countries around the world.

Because Etex has multiple brands, all of which have their own templates for email signatures, Word, and PowerPoint, ensuring brand consistency across all points of communication proved to be a challenge. To put this into perspective, Etex had 450 different versions of the same global email signature across its 125 global sites and commercial brands.

Etex was actively looking for ways to operate the brand more efficiently. When they relaunched their corporate brand, they decided to seize the opportunity to search for a solution for content enablement to ensure that updated templates and assets are stored and distributed more efficiently. The goal was to provide easy access to content and branded templates – empowering all users to create on-brand content.

  • Our solution

VIM Group played a big role in the rebranding of Etex recently, managing the rebrand process and implementing the new visual identity on all touchpoints. Etex asked VIM Group to advice on the best solution for them to manage their content and templates more effectively and to guide them during the implementation.

Together we made the choice for Templafy – a content enablement platform that meets the demands of the intrinsic complexity of Etex’s international organisation. Implementing Templafy would provide Etex employees easy access to on-brand content and templates across different countries, languages, and brands, automatically personalised for the end-user.

Along with Templafy, our digital professionals developed and dynamically configured the templates, based on the designs provided by Etex. VIM Group also created a platform where all relevant brand information is stored, so that Etex can modify and manage this data more efficiently.

During the entire project, VIM Group worked closely together with the teams at Templafy and Etex to look at how the designs could be improved from functional-, user-, design-, and technical perspectives.

    VIM Group provided:

    • Advice on setup of templates.
    • Critical insights on the functional and technical feasibility of templates.
    • Advice on design.
    • Actual configuration of the templates in Templafy.
    • Project management (i.e., planning and finances).

We worked with VIM Group on multiple brand projects in the past. Having them as partners for Templafy enabled us to rapidly structure the system to meet our needs and global variances; without their experience we wouldn’t have been able to roll Templafy out so efficiently to all users.

  • The results

With the support of VIM Group, Etex now has a successful solution for template management in place, facilitating all employees to create on-brand communication efficiently. Ensuring accessibility through a cloud-based system makes it easy for employees to access the correctly branded content for their needs.

VIM Group made sure the implementation of Templafy went smoothly and was finished within the set timeframe. Since the go live of Templafy, VIM Group has supported Etex with new ideas for content or updates of existing content. We will keep working together to optimise brand management and performance.

VIM Group continues to be there as our partners, further developing the range of templates we offer our users globally and providing support to our inhouse Administrators. Ultimately the combination of Templafy and VIM Group has enabled us to deliver an outstanding system that meets the growing needs of our team members globally with brand consistency.
